Spring Boating

Sunday was an unseasonably warm day so we headed out for a boat ride and some fishing. There was still a bit of snow on the surrounding mountains.

Spring Break in Portland

The kids and I flew to Portland for spring break to see Marlene, Ashley & Lauren (they moved there in February). The kids had a great time together and Marlene and I got to catch up on life.
We went to the Zoo on a beautiful spring day. Here are all 4 kids measuring themselves against bears.
The kids were excited to ride public transportation around Portland. They had quite a few comments about the characters they encountered!
We had a fun trip but it was over too quickly!

Easter part 2

The retirement community where Memaw and PopDaddy live has an egg hunt each Easter, as well as bunnies and chicks for the kids to hold. Here's Carson with a green chick and Avery with a bunny.

And they are off! Over 500 real eggs were dyed and hidden for the egg hunt so both kids filled their baskets as full as they could.

MOMS Club Egg Hunt

Saturday the kids went to one of several egg hunts they will attend this spring. It didn't feel much like spring though, cold and damp and no sun in sight!
Avery headed straight for the trees to find her eggs. Carson and his buddy Michael had a great time checking out their candy afterwards.

T-Ball

Spring is slowly making it's way to the Northwest and the kids are taking a t-ball skills class. There's still snow on the ground outside so they play at a school gym. Avery is the only girl (and the oldest), but she doesn't seem to mind a bit. Practicing their throwing......
