We spent Mother's Day at my parents' new house with my Grandma (they moved in March for 1 level living, they moved about 3 blocks!). The kids had a good time riding their bikes and enjoying some warmer weather.

Carson is growing up so fast!
Marlene and Ashley flew over from Portland for the weekend and Avery and I joined them to see High School Musical on tour. The girls loved the show and sang along to the music. Afterwards our good friends Vanessa and Melanie and their families came over for a BBQ. Above is Avery, Ashley, and Emily. They posed themselves!

It was Lily's 1st birthday as well so we celebrated with cupcakes.
Spring has slowly come to the Northwest and the kids are playing soccer for the first time. My Dad is very happy they are finally playing his favorite sport, and volunteered to coach their team. Together he and Tim have tried to keep these 4-6 year olds focused, not an easy task most of the time! They have really improved over the last few weeks. That's Carson with my Dad.
Avery started out singing and dancing around the field, taking bows after she kicked the ball, etc. Several weeks in and she has really started to enjoy soccer and is playing really well.
That's Tim with both kids and my Mom and Dad. Many years ago both of my parents spent lots of time at the soccer field with Paul and me. They are loving reliving that with Avery & Carson.
