Baseball Fun

All 3 classes at Carson's preschool attended a baseball game together. The kids had a great time, although I'm not sure any of them watched the game. Most of the kids thought they were there to eat hot dogs and have treats! Here's Carson with Ava (c) and Isabell (r). He and Isabell have taken a liking to each other and we have been getting together for playdates. She loves to play outside so they have a great time together!
Here's Carson and his best "Power Ranger" buddy, Eric. These two spent most of the night talking about Power Rangers. Oh, to be a boy!

Summer is here!

It's finally summer and we are lucky enough to have a brand new waterpark for the kids near our house. I have a feeling we will be spending lots of time there this summer as the kids love it.
There is a water spray feature with small slide, a large waterslide, and a rambling river with floats connecting the two.
A great way to spend a warm day!

Father's Day 2008

We headed to the lakefront for Father's Day. It was much to cold to swim (the water temp was 55 degrees that day!) but the kids had a great time with their Dad!
A beautiful day but nobody in the water! We did see a few brave souls in wetsuits training for the Ironman competition.Tim and his walking buddy....
After such a cold and long winter (our last snowfall was about 2 weeks ago and we had 94 inches total this year in town!!), there was a ton of flooding when the snowpack melted in the mountains. These roots used to be under sand but the water level was so high it washed the sand out. Now the water has receded and left a great picture place.

Carson's Preschool Program

Carson's preschool program was the last day of school. Here he is with some classmates during the show. One more year of preschool for Carson- so hard to believe he is 4 1/2 already!
The kids were so cute to watch! Here's Avery and Carson with silly hats.

Avery's Class Playday

On the day before school ended for the summer, Avery's class had a playday and indoor picnic. Here's Avery playing Twister and eating lunch with Carson.
Avery's beloved kindergarten teacher. This week she is her teacher at Vacation Bible School!

Avery's Kindergarten Program

All 3 kindergarten classes put on a musical program the other night. They sang quite a few songs and did really well. Avery is in the black & white shirt on the very end of the 3rd row.
Avery really enjoys singing so this was right up her alley. I can't say the same for some of the kids though, several got bored and just stood there or sang only some songs and not others. These pics were actually taken at the dress rehearsal during the day. At the evening performance there was quite a show put on by one little boy in Avery's class. He was dancing (think rap music style) and had the audience cracking up with his moves. VERY entertaining!

June is here

Carson has worn out his big wheel and finally agreed to try a bike. Of course he wanted the one that looks like a motorcycle! Here he is on his new ride.
Avery's last spirit day at school was Hawaiian Day. Here she is all decked out for the islands. Only 1 more week of school left til she becomes a 1st grader!

End of Soccer

Soccer is over for the season and both kids improved greatly. They plan on playing again in the fall. We had all kinds of weather to deal with- playing while it was snowing to playing this game in 90 degree weather! We had summer for a week during May, and June so far has been cold and rainy (it's about 50 right now in the middle of the afternoon!)
Tim enjoyed helping my Dad coach the kids. Here he is with Carson (far left) and Avery (in front of Tim) and 2 other teammates.
