Bathroom Remodeling

We are finally done with remodeling our main floor 1/2 bath. Everything is new....toilet, cabinet, fixtures, wainscoting, paint, floor, trim, door, etc. A lot of work but well worth it. Check out the before and after pictures. I love my new bathroom!
After (above and below):

Before (below)......Very plain. Lots of oak. Boring wall colors, etc. Did I mention I didn't care for oak? 3/5 rooms on the main floor now have no sign of oak in them (the dining room and office we did last summer). The hallway/foyer is most of the way done. The family room, laundry room, and kitchen still need to be done. But that's a project for another time!
Thank goodness this is gone!

Lake Trip/ 4th of July

We headed to the lake for 11 days with Memaw and PopDaddy. Uncle Paul and Aunt Lisa came for a week from Northern VA as well. My parents rented the house and we had the boat docked just out front. We celebrated the 4th of July with a BBQ and our first ever fireworks viewing from the boat. The weather was beautiful and the water quite cool.

Rope swing/Tubing at the lake

We all had a great time swinging on the rope swing and tubing in the lake. Avery is our little daredevil while Carson is still quite timid around the water. He would swing out on the rope, but wouldn't ever let go.

Here's Avery and Aunt Lisa tubing. Tim didn't go too fast and didn't knock them into the water (I can't say the same for Uncle Paul though....)

Riding the water ride and the panic plunge at an amusement park (yes, that's our brave Avery with the bare feet). Tim was around the corner, I was on flat land with Carson!! She didn't even scream, but looked like she might be sick when she got off!



Carson stuck to more laid back rides like the antique cars.
